
The YNGOC Implements the “Partners in Lifesaving” campaign in Bani Al Hareth District

The Yemeni NGOs Coalition for Child Rights Care implemented “Partners in Lifesaving” Campaign in cooperation with UNICEF in the Capital Secretariat, Bani Al Hareth District
The campaign aimed at raising awareness of the community about the importance of personal and public hygiene, urging the targeted population on adopting this behavior in their daily life, and cleaning seven neighborhoods of the 40-meter Road that is branching out from the Airport Road in the district.
The campaign was implemented in the presence of Director of the district, Mr. Issam Ajlan, 400 male and female participants from institutions, youth initiatives, CSOs, chiefs of neighborhoods, cleaning workers, and school students.
Campaign Coordinator, Ms. Aswan Shujauddin, and UNICEF Communication Officer, Mr. Abdul Khaleq Zeina, explained that the campaign was part of the first phase of the projects of the community awareness to change social behavior that lasted for
six months.
They pointed out that the first phase was aimed at raising awareness among citizens in 40 villages and districts in the district of Bani Al Hareth in Capital Secretariat, Wosab Al Safel in Dhamar Governorate, Bait Al Faqih in Hodeida Governorate, and educating them on life-saving behaviors and practices.
They stressed the importance of cleanliness of water, neighborhoods and streets, and the removal and disposal of waste in a safe manner to maintain the health of community members and reduce the risk of diseases and epidemics, especially cholera.
The campaign was attended by both the district’s directors of Youth and Sports, Mr. Ahmed Mesbah, and the Development of Women, Ms. Arwa Al Sunaidar.
